Creativity takes courage.
— Henri Matisse

My name is Lindsey Johnson and I make beautiful things to feed the soul. I'm an artist, interior designer, content creator, baker, photographer, and foodie. I’m inspired daily, from the illustrations in my children’s books, to the places I’ve traveled, but mostly, from the natural beauty of my mountain town home.

It isn’t easy to put the labor of your heart and hand out for the world to critique, but I’ve come to learn if I’m creating I’m happy. That happiness has granted me the courage to share.

From drawing to photography, I’ve been a student of the arts my entire life. In high school I was voted “Most Artistic”, the only award I’ve ever won so, yes, I still brag about it. This led me to design school, where I graduated with a Bachelor of Arts degree, and then built a career as an interior designer, focusing on high-end custom homes. After spending more than a decade in the design world, I began to harness my passion in one place: My kitchen.

My profound love for food and baking, giving credit to my mom who always made everything from scratch, along with my passion for art and design brought me to the world of artisan cakes, confections, food styling, and photography. I never would have guessed my favored artistic medium would be butter and sugar, yet, here I am. I spend the majority of my days thinking about cake design, dinner parties, creating the perfect styling of dessert tables, and making edible art to bring people joy.

I live life in the Wild West, on a 20 acre ranch, in Freedom, WY, just south of Jackson Hole. I have an amazing husband, Jeremiah, and three adorable boys (plus five goats, two cows, twenty chickens, and my dog, Jacks). With occasional moose visits and elk migrations through our backyard, our life here is far from ordinary. But it’s a life of adventure, and my creative heart wouldn't have it any other way.
